Abstract The shrinkproof finished wool fibers treated with resin coating and chlorination methods were used to find out an optimal shrinkproof finishing method keeping the mechanical and hand properties of wool fabric to manufacturers. The result of Hand on the figure showed that, regardless of the finishing method, all the samples showed the similar values of the dynamic characteristics before washing. Non-finishing knit fabric and shrink-proof processing after washing showed difference. In particular, Total Hand Value (T.H.V.) showed no difference among the samples with the identical values before washing, but showed the low values after washing for all samples.
