Abstract |
By 2019, Korea is expected to be an aged society, age group of 65 and older being over 14% of the totalpopulation, considering their rapid increase today. It is assumed that the aged prefer a option to the other, accordingto elderly' situation. This study is intended to find out the difference in the choice of housing options. The survey wastaken by trained survey takers. The data were collected through interview from the people of ages 65 and older residingin Daejeon city. The elderly want to take more dynamic exercise than now. If the aged is sick and have spouse, theywant to live in an apartment house or a detached house rather than son’s house. And if they are sick and widoweror widow, they want to live in son’s house. And the most elderly want to live the housing of 100~150 million won(as of October 2002, price before rise due to the announcement of Administrative Capital rearrangement).
