Abstract As increasingly growing populations in Korea, there is a need for using the underground spaces. In theunderground space, there are some problems related to the high humidity, the lack of day-light and the bad air ven-tilation. The ventilated dry area were designed and built in a student meeting room in K University to examine theseproblems and to suggest possible solutions. The dry bulb temperature, the relative humidity and the air velocity includ-ing the outdoor air conditions in summer were then measured and analyzed. The results are summarized below : Thetemperature differences between indoor and outdoor in summer were 1.6oC to 3.5oC which indicated the comfortableconditions because of the ventilated dry areas. The window opening brought the difference in the air speed of 0.01m/s and it was developed air stream by ventilating dry area effect.
