| Abstract |
This study examined the characteristics of current bathroom design by analyzing the bathroom space, whichwas a critical factor in planning a residential area of the apartment model houses. For this study, site survey andobservation were performed to analyze the characteristics of plan and design based. We researched twenty seven modelhouses from seven major construction firms in Seoul. The major findings were as follows: It turned out that the numberof bathroom was one in ten Pyong’s apartment while it was two in thirty, forty and fifty Pyong’s apartment. As privatearea increased, so did the size of the bathroom that families and couples used. Shower booth was assumed to be intrend because most family bathrooms in Korea, consisted one. Changes in people’s bathing style from using bathtubto shower and need for smaller spaces seem to affect this actual condition. |
