| Abstract |
This study examines the effect of old carpet on indoor air quality since the carpet is considered to be oneof the sources of air pollution in indoor space. Experiments were performed in order to investigate how the air con-taminated by the pollutants influences on the residents' productivity. The results are as follow. The more pollutantsexisted in the space the less satisfaction the residents had. Therefore, the carpet reduced the level of satisfaction by3%. When carpets were installed the productivity decreased compared with the case when carpet was not installed. |
