Abstract |
First of all, this study was designed to furnishing basic data for developing a more applicable exercise program for old women by identifying measured variables by disease, troubled part, basic physical fitness. Second, how to Tai Chi Gigong exercise program influences on living physical fitness and serum lipids in elderly women. In first study, the subject of the study were 300 elderly women from 65 year to 85 years were divided 5 groups by each 5 years. In second study, the subject of the study were 70 elderly from women 65 year to 80 years were divided 2 groups (exercise group (n=41), non exercise group (n=29) in 12 weeks. The data from this study were subject to cross analysis for identifying and paired t-test by using SPSS 110 Version. As a result, first study, the disease in elderly women examined arthritis>back pain>hypertension>diabetes no matter all of their age. And on the troubled part of the body in elderly women examined knee>waist>shoulder>ankle>wrist no matter all of there age group. In comparing of basic physical fitness, there was no statistical significance in muscle strength, muscle endurance in all age group. The flexibility were significantly higher in the 65~69 age group than in the 80 age group, and significantly higher in the 70~74 age group than in the 75~79, 80 age group. The one leg balance with eye opened were significantly higher in the 65~69 age group than in the 75~79 age group. In result of second study, the Tai Chi Gigong trained group showed statistically higher fitness level in muscle strength, flexibility, balance, cardiorespiratory capacity. Also, the Tai Chi Gigong trained group showed statistically decreased serum lipids (TC, LDL-C, VLDL-C, TG) concentration except for HDL-C. Therefore, the results suggested that in elderly women should have the obstruction factor on physical activity no matter all of their age. Tai Chi Gigong exercise in elderly women could have the positive effects in order to improve living physical fitness and health statue. |
