After 1970’s many wall-type multi-residential buildings have been constructed to solve the housing problem domestically. However noise and vibration troubles by the floor impact among households in the wall-type multi-residential building became an important issue with the increasing demand of living circumstances. To meet a new measure against this problem induced by the floor impact, vibration characteristics of the wall-type building should be investigated. The purpose of this study is to investigate the ratio of vibration transmission, comparing the experimental results with them of numerical analysis. The experiment was performed in a unit of a 15-stories multi-residential building. The slab of the living room was impacted with a standard bang machine, in which the acceleration response of the slab and the wall was measured. The results of the numerical analysis for a simplified model of a family unit with 100 m2 were compared with them of the experiment. The results showed that the vibration energy is mainly transmitted through the slab and the contribution of wall is not noticeable. Also, the effects of stiffening beam under or on the slab and the alteration of wall cross section area were shown by means of the numerical eigenfrequency analysis. |
