Title A Consciousness Survey on the Living Environment of Small Town Residents

Abstract This study aims to suggest the directions of city creation by conducting a survey targeting residents and understanding their sense of the living environment. The survey was conducted under the two subjects of “Urban and Living Environment” and “Environment and Policy Direction. The followings show the results: 1) The residents are considered to prefer turning urban areas into green spaces for eco-friendly cities. 2) They agree to secure scenery green space by breaking down fences. They also have a willingness to make a policy focusing on creating a place better in which to live. 3) They are highly interested in the urban living environment, with 76.7% of respondents reporting “relatively interested.” 4) According to the result of the survey on citizens’living environmental activities, many residents are participating in such activities, revealing high level of interest in the environment. 5) They consider public education and PR activities about living environmental issues to come before any other issues.
