Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to evaluate performance of Multidrop Chamber Ventilation System compared with general duct system in apartment. The experiments were designed to simulate apartment of 99 m2 and established multidrop chamber duct and general duct on the ceiling of the laboratory. Also, heat exchanger was established to control air supply rate. Distribution performance of air supply rate, characteristics of the static pressure, were evaluated in this experiments. As a result, distribution performance of air supply rate in the general duct is different from designed air supply rate by about 70% and about 20% in the multidrop chamber system. The characteristics of the static pressure in the general duct show deviation of about 11~48% and about 4~19% in the multidrop chamber system. In additional the sound insulation performance of the multidrop chamber system decreased about 34% compared with general duct system. Therefore, the multidrop chamber system is considered to satisfy proper air supply rate of each room and to improve the sound insulation performance in apartment Houses. |
