Abstract This study had been conducted to assist the improvement of performance, suggesting the theoretical basis for the fundamental data and effective technical training whether to find out the differences of the characteristics and techniques by the start motions, through the kinematics analysis of the medium start motion in the subjects of excellent male and female athletes. The faster changes of overall required time had been shown in the male athletes, especially from the 2nd and 3rd paces (P3) when the acceleration had been started. The changes of stride was make longer stride gradually as the number of the stride increased. The change of body center position was shown to be desirable, in case of the step change, In the speed changes, the initial breaking power was shown to be acted as the propelling power in the later part to be affected the speed of the following movement, It is considered that the change of the angle shortened the records of the starting area through the initial rapid movements enhancing the joint angles of left and rights knees and hip in case of separation from the starting block, and the balanced forward and backward swing movements of both arms in the shoulder joints may affect positively to the record shortening.
