Abstract Most of the performance hall built in the past was specialized in Korean classical music, opera or some sort of similar things. However, recently constructing performance hall is being designed as the multipurpose space. In case of such multipurpose hall, since the performances of diversified genres must be possible through the variability of various acoustic parameter such as reverberation time, it could be said that a sufficient examination with regard to the architectural acoustic design is indispensable. In recent days, the stage sound reflectors are largely installing in the multipurpose halls. But the research for sound-reflectors in the stage has not been enough to see how acoustic performance changes. On this point of view, this study has attempted to grasp the variation of acoustic performance through prediction and actual survey in accordance with Installation and non-installation of stage sound-reflector. As a consequence, installing a stage sound-reflector facilitates to hold from speeches to music concerts. It is considering that such study could be utilized as the fundamental material when construction a similar type of multipurpose hall in the future.
