Abstract |
Ventilation requirements of multi-rooms are essential to improve IAQ(Indoor Air Quality) for occupant's health in residential house. It is common to introduce outside air to each room with a separated duct system. The multidrop chamber unit has been developed to deliver air volume to individual room. Those system have some limitation to provide a proper air volume with room occupation and cause increase of energy consumption in ventilation. And, the ventilation system has operated by On/Off manual switch, most occupants couldn't know how to operate the ventilation system. Therefore, the sensor based demand control devices have been developed for the proper control of perceived IAQ and improvement of energy efficiency in ventilation strategy. Multidrop chamber has improved with motor damper as delivering the proper air volume to individual room by using detected sensor signal. It is needed to establish advanced strategy of ventilation control and to develop hardwares for realizing perceived IAQ and energy conservation in residential house simultaneously. In this study, the performance of multidrop chamber with motor dampers has been evaluated. And, it is figured out that this system would be available to be applied as ventilation control of individual room effectively. |
