Abstract |
Daylighting evaluation for buildings needs to include both quantitative and qualitative aspects. However the current daylighting related evaluation items in Korea's apartment building certification systems only consider quantitative properties such as solar access and effective window ratio. In this paper, an improved evaluation index called UDI was used to evaluate daylight performance of apartment buildings in order to evaluate both quantitative and qualitative properties. Then, the results were compared with those of the current domestic methods to suggest an improvement. |
