Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to identify lead knowledge and factors influencing lead knowledge on parents of preschool children. The respondents were 477 parents of preschool children. Data were collected from July to December, 2008 using a survey questionnaire. The data were analyzed with SPSS (version 14.0), and included descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, stepwise multiple regression analysis. The mean score of lead kowledge was .49(±.19). The factors predicting lead knowledge of parents were health insurance and education of parents. Based on the findings this study, lead educational program for parents should be developed to prevent lead poisoning and manage the environmental hazards. |
