Abstract |
The purpose of this study was that verification of the effectiveness for the development of EBHP (exercise board for health promotion) which can not only arouse the participants the interest in walking exercise but also suggest an exercise volume suitable for each participant purpose. The subjects were 48 male college students aged between 20 to 23 years in Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province. The EBHP was developed after a pre-exercise test by standardized treadmill exercise and the first walking exercise. Then, for the second exercise, just EBHP was added more under the same conditions as those in the first exercise. The participant made totally two exercises of the first and second walking exercise and responded to a questionnaire after each exercise. The result of the verification on the effectiveness of EBHP showed that; first, when the EBHP was recommended, the participants recognized the advantage and effect of walking exercise more highly; second, when EBHP was recommended, the level of satisfaction and interest in walking exercise turned out to be higher; lastly, the participants showed very high level of effectiveness, satisfaction and interest on EBHP. The most common and important result was that it was interest what the participants in walking exercise considered the most important in providing exercise information. As a conclusion, it seems that applying EBHP is considerably useful to suggest an appropriate exercise volume for each participant in walking exercise, to set up their goal of exercise and to make them continue walking exercise. |
