| Abstract |
Roadway lighting offer the safe visual environment to drivers so that they can have a clear view, resulting in decrease of traffic accidents. Roadway lighting is also one of the important elements in urban landscape field. The aim of this study is to investigate the design trend of roadway lighting in Seoul, and analyze a new design for roadway lighting in the future. Moreover, as LED lamp is applied in roadway lighting, this study investigated how LED is applied in design aspect. Finally, to find out about the problem, such as excessive glare, low luminous flux, and narrow distribution of light, analysis of performance is performed through a computer simulation. |
