Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of combined exercise training program for 12 weeks on children’s attention behavior with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Subjects of this experiment were 12 children with ADHD and they were assigned into two groups. One group was composed of 6 children participated in a regular exercise program, and the other group was composed of 6 children did not participate in any exercise program. All the measurements were tested before and after training; To measure the increase of attention, the ADS (ADHD diagnosis system) visual program was used. ADS verified four scale which include inattention, impulse, response time and response time deviation. Exercise program was composed of warm up (5 min), playing exercise (30 min), resistance exercise using body weight (20 min) and cool down (5 min) performed 3 times per week. As a result, exercise group was significantly decreased in inattention, impulse, response time and response time deviation (p < .05). In conclusion, these finding suggested that the regular combined exercise was effective in increasing attention for ADHD children. Also, it might be an effective psychotherapy that supplements medicine treatment and behavior therapy for ADHD children.
