Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of long-term exercise program on the subjects of the falls in the female elderly. They were divided in two groups of control(n=20) and exercise(n=20) aged 75-86. 10 months complex exercise program(2 days/week, 90min/day) was designed in order to develop muscle strength, flexibility, balance, and bone density for prevention of falls in this study. Statistical data was processed by SPSS(Window Version 18.0) using descriptive statistics regarding the physical characteristics of subjects. The results of this study were as followings: there was significant increase in muscle strength(grip), balance, and bone density between before and after exercise program(p<.05). And flexibility and balance were significant increase between group(p<.05). Here in this study, 10 months complex exercise program for female elderly which aimed to prevent falls and improve fitness and health. |
