| Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to evaluate life-cycle CO2 emission for two prototype office buildings which showed typical characteristics of average office buildings. Amount of CO2 emission was computed and analyzed for each stage of life-cycle, such as construction, building operation, and demolition stage. The amount of CO2 emission was also compared between two prototype office buildings. The total amount and per unit area of CO2 emission were proposed as an objective indicator to help architects to assess their design project for sustainability. |
