| Abstract |
The aim of this study is to examine the educational characteristics and educational needs regarding the nursing practice of nurses. Data was collected by questionnaires method and 220 nurses were participated in this study. The educational characteristics was measured by 8 questions. The educational needs were measured by Borich's needs assessment method. Data were analyzed by the SPSS program. The nurses want to learn from professional lecturer out of hospital (39.5%) and by the method using lecture and practice (70.9%). The basic medicine was highest ranked in the education area that nurses want to learn. The independent variable related to self-payment intention for education was significantly different in all education area. We identified the educational needs of nurses and recommend that the nurse educator should concern to include the education area such as basic medicine and management of equipment. |
