Abstract |
The purpose of this study was to investigate safety consciousness(SC), safety practicing Behavior(SPB) and perception about safety management service system of university campus(PSMSS) among university students. A descriptive study was conducted. The participants were 855 university students. Data was collected self-administered questionnaires that modified by the investigator. The data was analyzed by the SPSS win 20.0 program using descriptive statistics, Chi-square test, Pearson correlation coefficients, ANOVA. In survey, The mean of total item score the SC was 3.53±.37 and SPB was 3.52±.58, which was slightly high and PSMSS was 2.73±.74, which was slightly low. There was a significant correlation between SC, SPB and PSMSS among university students(r=-.38 ~.41). The respondents' score of SC, SPB and PSMSS were significant differences in sex, major and volunteer work experience commonly. Therefore it is necessary to develop nursing intervention to coordinate the level of related factors in order to prevent accidents. These results suggest that safety education programs are necessary to achieve safety for university students and to prevent accidents. |
