Title Influencing Factors to Health Status according to Health Equality of Adolescent

Abstract This study attempted to identify the influencing factors on health status according to health equality of adolescent in Korea. It will be fundamental resource to relieve the health inequality. Data were extracted from Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey in 2013. Participants of this study were 66,951 adolescents except single parent children. Data was analyzed by the SPSS 21.0 program using descriptive statistics, t-test, complex sample logistic regression. The significant factors of health equality on health status included parent education levels, subjective economic status, place and FAS(family affluence scale)(p<.001). Influential factors of subjective health status of the adolescents were subjective economic status (OR: 2.32) and FAS (OR: 1.62). The influential factors of subjective happiness of the adolescents were subjective economic status (OR: 3.02) and FAS (OR: 1.77). Subjective economic status and FAS had the effect on health status of adolescent. This research will be used as a reference to develop mediation strategy for adolescents' health inequality. Therefore, it is necessary to build strategic systems for alleviation of health inequality.
