The aim of this study is to analyze the case of senior-friendly residence in Zurich and compares it to the case of Korea in order to figure out implications and to suggest a direction of planning. For the case analysis of Zurich, among 32 residential areas, 11 residential areas that were developed after 2005 were selected. As a result of an analysis, the interior space was designed for convenient movement of the seniors. And the exterior space focused on convenient public transportation and was developed using natural landscape. When it was compared with the situation in Korea, it was found that cohabitant with family members for the seniors was used to be recommended instead of independent life for the seniors. Compared with Zurich, Korea had insufficient support and operating system for the seniors. Accordingly, this study is expected to be a basic resource to develop Age-friendly residence in Korea. |
