Abstract As the need of differentiated residential environment in a multi-family housing complex gradually increases, the right-to-view with open household units is being evaluated as an economic value. This preference for a view requires a plan unlike the existing south-oriented ones but securing the “orientation and view” with both views to the open space inside the complex and to the natural landscape outside. In the framework of analysis based on the statistics of actual research on indexes for each planning elements of 30 complex cases and the values of the open sight rates, this study analyzes which the site planning factors are highly correlated to the increase of openness indexes and mutually verifies the correlation of such openness indexes with each site planning factors. For quantitative analysis on the correlation between openness indexes and site planning factors, the study conducted factor analysis, deriving the interrelationship between variables, and multiple regression analysis, analyzing which factors influence the indexes.
