Abstract |
This study was carried out to find out the factors that influence the quality of life of male workers who do not live with family. The sample of this study consisted of 209 male workers in G city and J province who do not live with family. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire which included general characteristics, health related life style, perceived social support, depression, problem drinking and quality of life. The data were analyzed using SPSS/Win 19.0 programme. Only 29.7% of the sample considered themselves being healthy and the marks for depression, problem drinking and perceived social support were 14.02, 14.45 and 21.40, respectively. The quality of life of these male workers marked 84.40 out of 130 points and health condition, depression, perceived social support, problem drinking are found to be the factors most significantly influencing their quality of life, accounting for 29.6%. Thus, to improve the quality of life of male workers, programs developed in consideration of these factors need to be developed. |
