Abstract The purpose of this study is to compare the heating and cooling energy demand and consumption according to mean thermal transmittance of external wall. In the world, energy saving and sustainable development is one of the important issues. In our country, energy policies like energy conservation plan report and EPI for building are established. This study compares energy demand and consumption according to mean thermal transmittance for EPI score by using ECO2 program. In this study, thermal transmittance changes in external wall insulation and windows confirms the impact on energy demand and consumption. As a result, energy demand and consumption is also decreased with thermal transmittance reduced.
