Abstract |
The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of Taekwondo training for 16 weeks on obese elementary school students' healthy related fitness and motor skill fitness. For detailed purpose of this research, first, to reduce danger from fall by improving ability to control physical intelligence and increasing stamina due to exercising Taekwondo. The study was conducted on male obese elementary school students who reside in D metropolitan city and have percent body fat about 25% measured by inbody. An experiment was conducted on a subject group which was divided into test group which had 17 peoples and a control group which had 18 peoples. The whole subject group had no particular diseases and did not regularly exercise more than twice a week. Based on basal movement, low section, Taekwondo gym and form pattern, the Taekwondo train program was composed of total 16 weeks; 4 weeks of introductory phase, 4 weeks of maintenance phase and 4 weeks of improvement phase one and two, respectively. Postural balance was analyzed using dynamic posturography. As a result, In the fitness, there was a statistically significant difference between group and interaction in power. and equilibrium, there was a statistically significant difference between group in condition 1 (eye open, basal fixed, not sway surround). Condition 4 (eye open, basal sway, not sway surround) and condition 6 (eye open, basal sway, sway surround) were significantly difference in pre and post (p<.05). But sensory ratio were not significantly different between groups. In conclusion, since 16 week of Taekwondo training had a positive effect on elementary students' power and equilibrium. |
