Abstract |
This study is about heat loss characteristics of an apartment piping utility space which uses district heating system. Thermal environment and heat loss of the piping utility space were measured. CFD simulation using commercial software STAR CCM+ was also carried out and verified with the experimental data that were measured during nonheating period. Temperature difference of 0.33C between two methods indicates that CFD simulation is reliable. The results show that during heating period, heat loss of corridor was is 3.25 times, and elevator hall is 2.05 times greater than those of the non-heating period. |
