Abstract In this paper, a simulation was carried out to ascertain the status of water level rise and drainage in the manhole according to sewage inflow. Simulation was performed on five cases by combining 100%, 50% and 0% of sewage flowing in two sewer pipes. In case 3, which has the largest influent flow rate, the influent flow rate is 1,314 liters/ min more than the outflow flow rate, and when the maximum duration of inflow flow is 15 minutes (900 seconds), the water level in the manhole is increased by 2,400 mm. In the case of 100% and 0% of sewage inflows to the inflow sewer pipes (D400 and D900), 100% of the inflow sewage is discharged and there is no rise of the water level in the sewage manholes.
