Abstract |
More and more attention to 'functional building materials' is drawn because of the highlighted world's climate change, leading to the efforts to reduce the amount of HCHO(formaldehyde) and VOCs(Volatile Organic Compounds) even from eco-friendly building materials, and to improve indoor air quality from increasingly humid climate. The standard, 'Standard for clean & healthy house construction', mentioned above, recommends the use of functional building materials. However, eco-friendly building materials are not yet developed to functional building materials. Most enterprises who manufacture eco-friendly building materials are small or medium sized company; usually they are lack of test and analysis systems, support for testing house, and funding for researching, even with a certain technology or skill sets. In this study, we'd like to propose a technology management model that is designed for the small and medium-sized companies to perform technology commercialization effectively. In addition, we present a case study that is applied the model to a functional building material production company. Throughout this research effort, we conclude that the propose technology management model influences the R&D performance as well as the business outcome effectively to the case company. |
