Abstract This study was done to evaluate the reliability, validity, and sensitivity to change of health education impact questionnaire Korean version(heiQ_K) in Chronic Disease Self-help Management Program(CDSMP) in community. Participants were 24 community-dwelling people with arthritis. The data were collected using the heiQ_K, SCI and SF-36 at the beginning and end of a 6-weeks CDSMP in community health center. All analysis were performed using SPSS/Win 20.0. The heiQ_K was reliable instrument(Cronbach's alpha=0.95). Correlation of the heiQ_K scale score with SCI(r=.51) and SF-36(r=.63) scales indicated a good convergent validity. For sensitivity to change of heiQ_K, the SRM and ES values of the heiQ_K were 0.46 and 0.44. Individual changes in the heiQ_K score were significantly correlated with individual changes in SF-36(r=.42). In conclusion, the heiQ_K is a reliable, valid and responsive instrument for the evaluation of health education in CDSMP.
