Title The Level of Frailty and Related Factors of the Elderly People who Living Alone

Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting frailty among living alone elderly people in community. In this data analysis, data were collected from records for 1,051 elders except those with insufficient data registered in the visiting health management program of a community health center K in 2016. General characteristics (gender, age, drinking, smoking, and regular eating), body mass index, walking exercise, subjective health status, the number of chronic diseases, health related quality of life, depression and cognitive function and frailty were measured. Statistical analyses were performed by SPSS/Win 19.0. As a results, age (β=.10, p=.004), walking exercise(β=-.08, p=.025), subjective health status(β=-0.10, p=.008), health related quality of life (β=-.41, p<.001), depression (β=.17, p<.001), cognitive function(β=-.01, p=.008) are factors affecting the frailty of elderly. These factors should be considered in the development of intervention program for management and prevent of frailty among elderly people in living alone in community.
