Abstract Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design(CPTED), which makes the possibility of crime rare due to the improvement of the old housing environment in the city, plays an important role as a part of urban regeneration. Sustainable regeneration of the old housing area promotes the improvement of the poor environment and coexists with maintaining the identity of the city through the formation of the inhabitants' community. In this study, we investigate and analyze the case of Dongjak Gu Safety Village-Sangdo 3Dong and Sadang 3Dong, which finding a alternative plan for the sustainability of safe villages. To investigate the effectiveness of crime prevention facilities experienced by local residents and to suggest alternatives to improve the safety village environment, By activating a sustainable village community as a resident initiative, it will provide a standard for safe villages with improved quality of life.
