Abstract |
This study aims to identify the characteristics of energy (electricity/gas) and water use of public rental apartments in Jeju and utilize them as data to provide housing welfare services, by analyzing the energy and water use and deriving the scale and patterns of energy use. We analyzed the actual energy use data for the last four years(2014-2017) by adopting an empirical research method. The target study subjects were 620 households consisting of public rental apartments in Jeju. The results of the study are as follows. The use of electric energy was highest in summer (August-September) and also relatively high in winter (January-February). The use of gas energy was highest in winter but decreased in summer. Water use was slightly higher in August and September, but there was no significant monthly difference overall. The average amount of energy (electricity and city gas) used from November to May when energy vouchers were provided was 382,188won, which was 164% higher than the support amount for the three-person household (145,000 won). There is therefore a need to increase the support amount. The use of electric energy during the period from July to September in summer and the use of city gas energy in October during fall was high. Thus, the period of energy voucher use should be extended. |
