Abstract |
In multi-family housing complexes, daylight and opening rate have been established as important factors in evaluating the quality of residential environment, but also have become representative index required by residents. The daylight is currently regulated by the building law and its enforcement ordinance, while there are no regulations on a view, so they are changed by the intentions of designers. A good view generally means the security of openness in a space, which in turn predicts the substantial improvement of daylight environment. This study, therefore, attempts to analyze how the daylight hours may be changed as the openness is improved at a certain point and what a correlation exists between daylight environment and opening rate. In addition, it also analyzes the correlation between openness and daylight environment and planning factors in multi-family housing complexes, such as plottage, building-to-land ratio, floor area ratio, etc. by using Pearson's correlation and multiple linear regression analysis. |
