Abstract Condensable particulate matter(PM) is a large part of the PM from building or mobile pollutants in the operation of the city. Nevertheless, the object of measurement and management of PM is mainly Filterable PM.
Therefore, for the management and reduction of condensable PM, it is necessary to understand the characteristics of condensable PM. In this study, we predicted the amount of filterable and condensable PM and emission behavior in the district by using the particulate matter behavior prediction program. The predicted amount of PM was compared to the measured value of AirKorea to confirm the long-range inflow and self-contributions rate in district. In addition, the characteristics such as the amount and the emission ratio of filterable and condensable PM were analyzed. As a result, the average of self-contributions rate for PM emission in the district was analyzed to be 49.6% of the total PM observed. And, about 50.7% of the self-contributions PM in district was analyzed as condensable PM.
