Abstract This study is a descriptive study to identify a nurse's social support, ego-resilience and their impact on health promotion behavior and at providing basic data to improve their health promotion behavior. The data were collected from June 28 to July 15, 2019 for 160 nurses working in three general hospitals in the city of J. The collected data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS WIN 25.0 program with frequency analysis, the mean and standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, scheffe test, pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression. As a result of the study, Health promotion behavior was significantly positively correlated with supervisor's support(r=.18, p=.023), co-worker's support(r=.22, p=.005) and ego-resilience(r=.58, p<.001). Factors influencing health promotion behavior were egoresilience( β=.56, p<.001) and co-worker's support(β=.14, p=.040), which explained 35% of nurses' health promotion behavior(F=13.30, p<.001). In conclusion, it is necessary to develop a health promotion program for improving health promotion behavior in nurses, taking co-worker's support and ego-resilience into account.
