In this study, lon-term aging of XPS (Extruded PolyStyrene) and Rigid poly urethane was experimentally observed by two step process to verify correction factors. Continuous measurement over 5,300 days was performed in first step by checking thermal conductivity change. In 2nd step process, 360 day-time-lapse monitoring was executed. As a result, it was degraded for special grade and grade 1 XPS by 30% from the original thermal conductivity for 1,000 day-time-lapse and 20 to 25% for grade 2 XPS. In case of Rigid poly urethane, degradation from the initial ratio was found to be 23 to 29% after 5,000 days. Based on these results, correction factors were calculated and suggested to have 0.7, 0.75, and 0.8 for special grade XPS, grade 1 XPS, and Rigid poly urethane, respectively |
