Title Multilevel Factors Affecting Physical Activity of the Elderly in the Community

Abstract This study was attempted to provide basic data for the development of intervention programs by identifying the factors influencing physical activity for the elderly in the S city community through multiple-level analysis. A part of the 2019 Community Health Survey data, e- region index and public portal data were used for analysis. The subject this study were 5,939 peoples aged 65 years or older living in S city. Individual factors included sex, age, economic activity status, income, marital status, educational attainment, hypertension, diabetes, depression, smoking status, selfassessment of stress and self-assessment of health. Regional factors included regional deprivation index, the number of cultural facilities, residential environment satisfaction and social networking. The analysis was conducted using a multi-level model to identify the factors related to physical activity in the elderly by considering both individual and regional levels. As a results, individual factors affecting physical activity were gender, age, smoking status and selfassessment of health. Regional level factors affecting physical activity was identified as social networking. Based on these results, it is suggested that an efficient program be developed to increase the physical activity of the elderly in the community.
