Abstract The purpose of this study is to propose remodeling performance considering the microclimate of each region in Bucheon. In order to propose the performance criteria, regional classification of previous microclimate studies was used. The insulation level was analyzed during the remodeling of the reinforced concrete structure using the lowest temperature by region. The appropriate insulation level was suggested as a level at which mold does not occur through 2d heat transfer analysis. In the analysis, different surface transfer resistance values were used to consider the living environment of occupants. As a result of the analysis, different insulation thicknesses were required for each District in Bucheon. This means that regional microclimate considerations are required for economic remodeling. This study proposed an appropriate insulation thickness that escapes the surface temperature defect, but has a limitation in that it did not consider the defect inside the wall.
