| Abstract |
Wind is one of the most important factors to promote sustainable and healthy built environment. However, the wind environment of existing buildings can be interrupted by newly constructed buildings. The purpose of the study is to assess the wind environment of existing buildings with neighboring newly constructed buildings by using CFD simulation. The wind velocity of four different layouts of new residential buildings were investigated. In addition, the temperature distribution at the wall of the existing building was analyzed. Based on the CFD simulation results, the air change rates were calculated. |
