Abstract |
Fresh water is very unevenly distributed on Earth. As global warming intensifies, fresh water is becoming increasingly scarce, posing a serious threat to the world's sustainable development. In response, the United Nations has identified freshwater scarcity as SDG-6 to be addressed. Collecting water from the atmosphere is being discussed worldwide as a technology that can solve this problem, called Atmospheric Water Generation(AWG). In this paper, we looked at AWG's patent application trends by country, technology, and applicant with patent analysis. In addition, based on the core patents selected by technology through quantitative and qualitative evaluation, we looked at AWG characteristics, patent application trends, and technology changes by technology. AWG has been applied in various structures so that it can be applied in various situations. In order to maximize condensate production over time, it was found that various principles were applied for equipment or systems with material and performance development applied. Through this paper, we hope that AWG technology will be actively developed in Korea by raising awareness of AWG to companies and researchers in related fields. |
