| Abstract |
This study aimed to investigate the Grit and Career Identity of dental hygiene students and identify the factors influencing their Career Preparation Behavior through a survey conducted with these students. First, there were positive correlations among Grit and Career Identity (r = .495, p < .001), Grit and Career Preparation Behavior (r = .260, p < .001), and Career Identity and Career Preparation Behavior (r = .246, p < .001). Furthermore, Grit was found to influence Career Identity (β = .486, p < .001), and Grit also affected Career Preparation Behavior (β = .274, p < .001). Lastly, it was verified that both Grit (β = .183, p < .01) and Career Identity (β = .156, p < .05) influence Career Preparation Behavior. Based on these results, it is believed that there is a need for the development of various educational programs to enhance the Career Preparation Behavior of dental hygiene students, along with ongoing education to strengthen their capabilities. |
