| Abstract |
This study is to ascertain factors for street vitalization on CBD redevelopment that isimproving the center of the city for public purpose. The study area was divided into a highcompletion of redevelopment or completed areas and a low completion or unimplementedareas, and these cases were analysed on the elements in the private and public realm. In orderto set specific scope and make objective analysis of physical factors, an analytical frame wasmade and utilized by collecting secondary data as well as measuring factors of streetvitalization. Finally, numerical measuring method was used to measure the circulation ofwalking as occurred on the street, and estimate street vitalization by John J. Fruin’s a scale ofserved walking level. In conclusion, physical contents, which affect to the vitalization of thestreet, were analyzed into continuity of the street, which is related with structures and lowerstorey function of buildings of street side. |
