| Abstract |
Nevertheless the urban design guidelines introduced in detached housing area of Bun-dang New Town in Metropolitan area, many problems have been occurred such as increasing number of households per lot and street parking, and failure of making a resident-oriented neighborhood. The purpose of this study is to propose improvement of residential environment based on pedestrian friendly streetscape of neighborhood. It was accomplished by analyzing urban design guideline applied on lots in site, and then classifying actual physical condition of front space by usage of ground floor of each house. Synthetically there are compounding finding from front space condition-types distributed on each street classified by hierarchy. Based on that result, concrete improvement direction of urban design guideline, and solution for parking demand and implication of revitalization with a streetcommunity as a unit are suggested. |
