Abstract This study explores implications in housing complex considered with Historic & Cultural Resources in Korea. It includes case analysis study of 20 housing complex sites with two point of view. The one is what the problems are to applicate HCR on the process of complex design, and the other point is the spatial approaches about considering the HCR to the complex. The results are as follows : First, there are four implications from the process analysis such as needs to grope the way of utilizing the registered cultural assets in the development of housing complex, needs to converge residents’ opinion about design, needs synthetic access through cut across the main body of management, and needs to correct the order of cultural assets surface examination. Second, there are four implications from the spatial approaches. Designer should consider the public design on boundary of housing complex from urban perspective. Also, there needs to consider the building scale and the width in the street design, and needs to consider separation of public and privacy on complex designing. Lastly, it needs to consider positive building design not only the landscape design for considering HCR. The results call the continuous inquiry to solve the explored implications.
