| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to present assignment and plan for revitalizing the dilapidated old commercial area. To this end, this study constructed objective data of physical status in the nearby blocks of Sinheungno and Chilsungno in Jeju-Si and analyzed them. Results are as follows. First, as the most lands were private owned and poor physical condition so that the expected conflicts during the period should be prevented in advance. Secondly, as the most of the buildings in that area was inefficient so that public institutions should improve physical circumstances by providing area-unit plans and guarantee. Thirdly, as major business facilities go wrong so that owners of stores should create up-to-date service and circumstances and plan for activation by keeping a close contract with retail trade. Finally, the maintenance considering regional characteristics must be in need as the insufficient maintenance of facilities caused to the downtown decline and degradation in fine view. |
