Abstract |
The purpose of this paper is to verify the expanded applicability of network based on multi agent system. In the two previous papers, the theoretical background of newly developed system was described and the reliability of system was tested. With this proven reliability of system, this paper investigates the possibility of new system as a forecasting tool for the space usage patterns of pedestrians on the street network. For the analysis, Shimokitazawa in Tokyo, where a new town planning program has been in progress, has been tested for the changes in the existing street structure. By simulation of the plan for target area, it can be found out how this change can influence pedestrian’s spatial usage pattern. Through this procedure, it could be mentioned that the developed model will evidently become a useful analytical tool to predict pedestrian movement in a real situation when setting up a new plan in architectural or urban design field. |
