| Abstract |
For the purpose of improving residential environment in the multi-family housing areas, this study aimed to suggest the alternative plan making residential and urban environment variously by reflecting urban fabric. Case study was implemented on multi-family housing area in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu formed by land readjustment project in company with theoretical study on possibility of small-scale development in residential area with small-scale lot structure and necessity for improvement of residential environment of the multi-family housing. It confirmed that small-scale development rather than apartment complex development respects local characteristics such as urban fabric, local landscape and life area, and block unit planning considering urban context instead of individual plot planning by typical legal restrictions attribute to improve the residential environment. And this study suggests improvement plan for the study area along with the application of district unit plan. |
