Abstract This study explores perception and satisfaction of residents in rotational public housing for cyclical redevelopment projects. The effective analysis on cyclical redevelopment projects will have positive implications in enhancing the re-settlement of native residents. The results of surveying the residents of rotational public housing for the cyclical redevelopment project in the Dochon District, Seongnam-si, Gyunggido-Province are as follows: 1) rotational public housings for cyclical redevelopment projects give chances to live in more improved houses at lower rents than before; 2) however, the residents are dissatisfied with transportation environments, education environments, convenient facilities in the rotational housing neighborhood; 3) Nevertheless they over all evaluate the cyclical redevelopment project positively. Based on the findings, this study argues that the cyclical redevelopment is an effective way to re-settle the native residents. And, the cyclical redevelopment would be an alternative, new redevelopment method, if a more caring planning for transportation, educational environment, and convenient facilities could be provided for residents.
